Chloe

Kia Ora! I am Chloe, originally from the states, but like most expats was drawn to Wanaka for the
outdoor recreation opportunities. I feel most at home in communities centered around connection,
nature, and creativity—values that also guide the way I care for children.
I genuinely love forming meaningful relationships with children and their families. I strive to create a
warm, safe space (I am CPR and First-Aid Certified) where kids feel comfortable to be their authentic
selves—whether we’re together for just an evening or over a longer stretch of time.
My experience includes nearly a decade of preschool teaching, long-term nannying, contract
babysitting, outdoor education, trip leading, substitute teaching, and youth leadership roles. This wide
range of work has taught me how to meet children exactly where they are—emotionally and
developmentally. I’m comfortable supporting routines, helping with transitions, encouraging
independence, guiding emotional regulation, and building confidence through play, nature, and hands
on learning.
In my free time you’ll find me outdoors. I enjoy trampling, climbing, skiing, running (or at least trying
to). I also love knitting, crafting, and pottery, and I’m always excited to bring creativity and playfulness
into the time I spend with kids. I am excited to meet you!
