Tegan

My name is Tegan Chapman and I am 21 years old. I have been living in Dunedin for 3 years. In high school I nannied for a single mother who worked out of town for 2-4 days weekly for 2.5 years. My role involved cooking, cleaning, laundry and assisting with homework and after school activities – These children were ages 7-11.  

Former front of house waitress at Monteiths Brewery Bar Alexandra. I worked here part time for 5 years throughout high school and full time over summer. This was a great client facing role which also involved opening/closing the restaurant, waiting tables, serving food and drinks, general cleaning, and setting/packing up functions. 

Former health care assistant at Highview Rest home Dunedin. I worked here for 7 months in 2022 in the hospital ward. This involved long hours and overtime, showering, dressing, feeding, some admin, and aiding the members of the rest home. 

Former orchard labourer for a total of 12 summer months between 2016 – 2022. This job involved early mornings, working machinery, picking fruit, packing fruit, driving a 4 wheeler, quality control, and bucket running. 

I am currently a carer/leader at Playball which is an afterschool care and holiday programme based around different schools in Dunedin. This role involves, signing children in, making afternoon tea, indoor and outdoor activities and games, communicating with the head coach (Liam) and with the parents – These children are ages 5-10.
