Hello there! I am an enthusiastic nanny with a positive outlook on life, and is completing their Degree in Film, Media, and Communications Studies at Otago University. I am deeply passionate in enacting positive influences on children and young people in New Zealand, a reason why I am starting the Master of Teaching and Learning program at Otago in 2024. I value professional relationships with children and young people, and I find fulfilment in building a good rapport with the people I work and interact with.
As a lifeguard of three years, parents, children, and my local community trust me to look after their children on a daily basis, while creating a fun, dynamic and safe environment for leisure and play. I have completed first aid training and have completed numerous courses at Safeguarding Children. These qualifications along with my experience as a lifeguard, have allowed me to provide high standards of childcare for my clients.
Beyond my vocational roles, I am engaged in my local community as a former Executive Member of the Knox College Student’s Club (New Zealand’s oldest student-led incorporated society), and I have organised 30+ events for Knox College residents during my term. Currently, I am an acting Board Member for the Otago University Career Development Centre.
I enjoy being outdoors. On my days off, you are likely to find me at one of Dunedin’s beautiful beaches, at the pools, at the library, or playing board games and watching movies with my flatmates. I am flexible with my working hours and am based in Dunedin until December 2024.
