Alice

Hello, I’m Alice Howard. I am in my Third year at Otago University. I am enthusiastic, fun and
reliable. I enjoy getting fresh air but also do quiet activities. I love spending time with family
and friends. I really value having good relationships within my family, and will in yours too.
From a young age I coached a range of trampolining and netball through school, which is
where I first started working with children. From here I babysat for my parents friends, and
through others as I’ve gotten older and more responsible. I’ve also volunteered my time in
primary schools, helping teachers and keeping the children occupied.
Throughout my last year at school I nannied for a family at home in Wanaka. They have three
kids aged from 4-9. I recently got asked to look after the children overnight. This was a
privilege for me as it showed me that I was reliable and trusted with children for a longer time
period. Last year I held my second Nanny job, in Dunedin. This family had 5 children ages 1-10.
My main role was to look after the 1 year old throughout the day, alongside school pick up and
drop offs for the other children. I gained lots of knowledge here on how to juggle multiple
childrens wants and needs, while keeping everyone happy. For the first week of Janaury I
looked after a 3 month old baby boy. This was a one off week as the family was here on
holiday from overseas. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this baby and learnt more about
taking care of them.
I would love to have the opportunity to look after your children. I am flexible and reliable. I am a
confident but careful driver. I have a car with a 4 star safety rating and I’ve held my full license,
clean, for over 2 years now. Along with a completed defensive driving course. I’m not afraid of
early mornings, late nights or long days.
If I sound like someone that could work well with your family please get in contact with me. I
would love to hear from you or come and meet you for an introductory meeting to answer any
further questions.
