Caitlin

Kia Ora! My name is Caitlin and I am 23 years old. I’m about to head into my final year of my Bachelor of Midwifery at Ara in Christchurch, following a previous Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Otago. I feel incredibly privileged to be pursuing a career in midwifery. It’s an extremely special and rewarding career to have, and my love for caring for families and their children really gets to shine.

I’ve now been nannying and babysitting for 10 years. During my first year of midwifery study, I worked full-time as a nanny for two wonderful families – one with four children, and another young family with three children, including twins. I have experience with children of all ages, from newborns to teens, and love building strong, nurturing relationships with the families I support.

Growing up as the eldest of three, I’ve always been the maternal ‘big sister’ and naturally fell into caregiving roles. My background also includes teaching dance classes to children aged 3 to 17, which I did all through high school.

I love children of all ages and, as a midwife-to-be, especially love babies and toddlers. I’m a fun, positive person who is calm under pressure, highly responsible, and a great communicator. I have a full, clean license and am fully First Aid certified. I look forward to meeting your family!
